Our Team

Ken Campbell

PRESIDENT

Ken joined Polytech Services in 2004 as a Sales Engineer. Ken became Polytech’s Executive Vice President in 2014 and then President in 2025. Ken has more than 30 years of experience selling into the Power Generation market throughout the U.S. He has previously worked in direct sales for several manufacturers selling large heat rejection equipment, air pollution control systems and gas turbine performance technology. Ken obtained degrees in Business & Economics from The University of Pittsburgh.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Mark joined Polytech Services in 2011. He has over 20 years of experience selling into the industrial and utility market in the southeast U.S. Prior to joining Polytech, Mark was Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Powell Electric in Houston, TX. Mark works in our Atlanta, GA, office and holds a degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

Will Besonen

VICE PRESIDENT

Will Joined Polytech in 2016. He has over 15 years of experience selling into and servicing the power generation market. Will has worked with several firms in sales, engineering, & project management roles. Prior to joining Polytech, Will was the North American Sales Manager for CECO Environmental. He is in our Nashville, TN, office. Will is a licensed professional engineer, certified general contractor, and graduate of Ohio University.

Jake Schwartz

VICE PRESIDENT​

Jake joined Polytech Services in 2015. With over 10 years of experience in industrial and utility sales in the southeast U.S., Jake works in our Atlanta, GA office and covers Alabama and Mississippi. Jake earned a degree in business from the University of Alabama.

Nick Newara

Nick Newara

SALES ENGINEER- Florida

Nick joined Polytech Services in 2024. He has over 6 years of experience selling into the Utility, Renewable, T&D and Power Generation markets throughout the USA with a specific focus on FL. Before joining Polytech, Nick held diverse positions at Siemens Energy and, most recently, Cypress Creek Renewables. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Nick leads Polytech’s efforts in Florida.

Angie Cease

Sales Representative

Angie joined Polytech Services in October 2024 as a sales representative. Angie Cease earned a business degree from Charleston Southern University. She spent 25 years with Santee Cooper working in Supply Chain Management. Her last five years at Santee Cooper was as Supervisor of Contract Administration. Angie’s focus at Santee Cooper was contracting services for the Power Generation and Transmission Distribution Departments.

Logan Shuping

Sales Representative

Logan joined Polytech in 2025 as a sales representative.  Before beginning at Polytech, he spent 5 years in the financial services industry and became a Certified Financial Planner® in 2024. Logan works out of Polytech’s Charlotte, office and covers the state of North Carolina. Logan earned a Finance and Marketing degree from East Carolina University and spent four years on the men’s golf team.

Scott Conner

Variable Frequency Drive Specialist

Scott joined Polytech Services in April 2024 as a variable frequency drive specialist. He has over 30 years of experience in medium voltage and low voltage VFDs. Scott spent 15 years with GE Drive Systems and 20 years with Siemens Large Drives business (now Innomotics). At Siemens he held positions as a Regional Sales Manager, Americas Power Generation Director, Head of Sales and Marketing and most recently was General Manager of the Medium Voltage Drives business in the U.S. Scott has a BS in finance, and an MBA from Virginia Tech in addition to an AS in electronics.

Amy Triggs-Hurley

Business Manager

Amy joined Polytech Services in 1994. She manages the business’ finances and oversees daily operations. She works closely with all our partner companies to track accounts receivable.

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Patti works alongside Amy to track and reconcile accounts receivable.

Polytech Services, Inc. was founded in January of 1969 by Bill Suk and Clay Thomas. Bill Suk came from the electrical world and Clay Thomas from the mechanical equipment side. Polytech’s original products supported both mechanical & electrical equipment lines, including controls, synchronous motors, & steam turbine drives. Polytech’s original territory included North & South Carolina.

By 1995 the original founders had retired, and Duke Almon directed Polytech through 2024. Duke joined Polytech Services in 1987 as a Sales Engineer and eventually became the President of Polytech. Duke led the organization for more than 30 years, helping it grow in territory, establishing new offers and dramatically increasing the product offerings.   

Today, the company is owned by Mark Lively, Will Besonen, Ken Campbell, & Jake Schwartz. In addition to the headquarters in Charlotte, NC, Polytech has offices in Roswell GA, Nashville, TN, Charleston, SC, & Tampa, FL. Polytech Services provides sales coverage for our principals in the states of:
