Our Team

Duke Almon

President

Duke joined Polytech Services in 1987 and has over 30 years experience selling into the energy market. He has supported capital projects, environmental compliance projects as well as outages and uprate projects. He has worked with EPC firms, A&E firms, utilities, IPP’s and renewable energy providers. Prior to joining Polytech Services Duke sold pump and filtration equipment. He holds a BSME from the University of Connecticut.

Ken Campbell

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Ken joined Polytech Services in 2004. He has 30 years of experience selling into the Power Generation market throughout the U.S. He worked in direct sales for several manufacturers selling large heat rejection equipment, air pollution control systems and gas turbine performance enhancement technology. Ken obtained degrees in business and economics from The University of Pittsburgh.

Jeff Morton

VICE PRESIDENT

Jeff joined Polytech Services in 2007. He has 13 years of experience selling into the renewable, utility, industrial and T&D markets in the southeast U.S. He works closely with developers, owners and EPC customers and his experience includes both mechanical and electrical equipment & technology. Jeff studied engineering at North Carolina State University.

Mark Lively

VICE PRESIDENT

Mark joined Polytech Services in 2011. He has over 15 years of experience selling into the industrial and utility market in the southeast U.S. Prior to joining Polytech, Mark was Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Powell Electric in Houston TX. Mark is located in our Atlanta GA office and earned a degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

Will Besonen

VICE PRESIDENT

Will Joined Polytech in 2016. He has 7 years of experience selling into and servicing the power generation market. Prior to joining Polytech, he served as the aftermarket sales manager for Effox in the southeast. He is located in our St.Petersburg, FL office. Will is a licensed professional engineer and graduate of Ohio University.

Jake Schwartz

SALES ENGINEER

Jake joined Polytech Services in 2015. He has over 5 years of experience selling into the industrial and utility market in the southeast U.S. Jake is located in our Atlanta, GA office and covers Alabama, Mississippi, and Kentucky. Jake earned a degree in business from the University of Alabama.

Amy Triggs-Hurley

Business Manager

Amy joined Polytech Services in 1994. She is responsible for managing all finances of the business. She works closely with all our partner companies to track accounts receivable. 

Patti Farmer

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Patti works alongside Amy to track and reconcile accounts receivable.

Polytech Services, Inc. was founded in January of 1969 by Bill Suk and Clay Thomas. Polytech’s primary product lines were electrical controls, large synchronous motors and steam turbines drives in addition to other electrical and mechanical products.

By 1995 the original founders had retired and today the company is owned by Mark Lively, Jeff Morton, Will Besonen, Ken Campbell and Duke Almon. In addition to our main office in Charlotte, NC we have offices in Roswell GA and St. Petersburg FL. and cover the states of NC, SC, VA, MD, TN, MS, AL, GA and FL.
